Very distinctive restaurant, very famous in the local area, so it has attracted many food lovers.
I recommend this Dutch pea soup on the Internet. I just passed by here. I went in and tasted it. The taste is really good. If you imagine doing it in your own home, you will definitely feel that all your efforts have been wasted. After all, this is an old store and there must be a reason for it.
I tasted the famous croquet and a pork sandwich!! The staff was friendly! It''s true that when I went there, there aren''t many people!
As a sandwich specialist I may easily say that it is my hidden paradise. In Amsterdam it is rare to find where Dutch prefers to eat.
We went there following a locals recommendation. It''s perfect if you''d like a taste of local food while on the go.
Dutch food and it did not disappoint. We had some croquets and some other sandwhiches. The orange juice was also fresh. There was a wide selection of food available and you can order more food as you see fit. I would recommend sitting at the bar so you can be inspired by the food...
since we have no real Dutch cooking/kitchen worth mentioning, this is the place you should go! Order a ''broodje kroket'' ( everyone does kinda) and enjoy! This is the best you can find in town! Remember, it is really more a snack than a meal/lunch...! The other sandwiches are good too, although a bit expensive.
