Paradiso is a music venue and cultural center located in Amsterdam. It is housed in a converted former church building that dates from the nineteenth century and that was used until 1965 as the meeting hall for a liberal Dutch religious group known as the "Vrije Gemeente" (Free Congregation). It is located on de Weteringschans, near the Leidseplein, one of the nightlife and tourism centers of the city.
One of the major music venues in Amsterdam, Paradiso hosts international music talent throughout the week and weekend. One big, cavernous hall cased in a grand old building (a former church) has your standard sprawling dance floor with a bar in the corner, but my pick is the surrounding two levels of balconies. Not only to you get a great view of the stage, but also there is plenty of space to boogie as well as seats to chill out on. You can even hear yourself talk to your mates! Luckily there is also a food stand in the basement for when you’re craving a feed/have the munchies!
Amsterdam's holy grail for concerts. This used to be a church and the sound is fantastic. Everybody played here from the Rolling Stones to the Dropkick murphy's, and everybody in between. If you want to sit come early because there are not many seats (the're on the balcony) and it's first come first served. Look at their website (www.paradiso.nl) to see who is playing when and where to get your tickets. You'll also need to buy a membership card to get in. You can buy them either with your tickets or at the door.

Great concert venue! 2 different rooms, often each will have its own event. Lockers upstairs for coats and bags
My favourite venue in Amsterdam for both live music and dj/club nights. Big old church building with a really cool vibe.
went past this lovely little theatre. would definitely go back to watch a movie there
Beautiful concert venue in a former church, very intimate.
The great thing about Amsterdam is that it's a very small city but attracts big cultural events--and the Paradiso is a perfect example. It's a smaller club set in an old church, but it books almost all of big-name bands and DJs who come through town. Great sound quality too. Late nights it turns into a dance club--usually a good mixed crowd.
