This small fishing village is quite unique. The town is very quiet and has a commercial area. The place near the fishing port is more for tourists. You can take traditional Dutch photos at reasonable prices. Then you can take a cruise to the opposite Marken. We probably finished playing the whole town in half a day, but if we have time, we really recommend staying for one night to feel the rare moments of silence. It’s so comfortable to be in a daze on the beach bench.

When you come to the North Sea Fishing Village of Volendam, you have to come. The fishing port is the soul of Volendam. Sitting on the bench next to the fishing port, looking at the sea quietly, watching the fishing boats and fishermen is a very relaxing feeling. . The beauty of the countryside here is suffocating. Everything is so peaceful and quiet. The children riding bicycles and playing on the trails are so relaxed and happy. It reminds me of our beautiful childhood.
The town is amazing. The "land of windmills", the Netherlands, is a country in western Europe with a population of only over 10 million. The real country is called the "Netherlands". "Need" means low, and "lan" means land, which together are called "low-lying country". One-third of the area in the Netherlands is only 1 meter above the sea level of the North Sea, and nearly one-fourth of the area is below sea level, which is worthy of the name "Netherlands".
Volendam is not far from Amsterdam and the Kinderdijk, and you can also take a bus to get a wide area ticket. Very Scandinavian style! The blue sky, white clouds and blue waves are rippling, the safe haven seawall goes out, the barren sea outside, the European-style architecture inside, the port is very comfortable and various seabirds, suitable for a leisurely afternoon sitting
A small traditional Dutch fishing village near Aime, neatly arranged small houses, full of leisure and warmth, every family’s small yard is full of flowers, plants and grass, and some also have tea bars and swings, and the windowsills are full of green plants and plants. Handicrafts...Wandering around the town, just looking at "other people's homes", you can already enjoy it. Follow the google map towards the sea, and you will come to the edge of the fishing village, which is also the area where the commercial street is located. There are many small shops selling souvenirs, cafe bars, restaurants and so on. There are obviously more tourists in the commercial area. Compared to here, I still prefer the tranquility of the residential area of the fishing village. The purchased Waterland day ticket allows unlimited rides to any small fishing village within one day. The boarding location is the long-distance bus station on the second floor of Amsterdam Central Station. You can buy the Waterland day ticket and ask the driver to buy it. It is 10 Euros and you can go to 11. Towns, such as Edam, Volendam, Marken, Hoorn, etc., have map notes on the back of the ticket. Although the weather was not good on the day we went, we decided to return after visiting Volendam. Even so, the beauty of the small town of Volendam is still deeply imprinted in my mind.
