roiberadori was there on a rainy day, so it was all my fault i did not check the weather first. make sure you go there on a sunny day or a fair weather. make sure you book in a hotel that is near the bus station. they have their own bus station that goes to certain starting points. the earlier the better because i noticed that even if it was rainy and it was wednesday there were still so many people lining up to go there. do not bring your drone with you. they do no allow drones. they kept my drone in their office. when you reach the starting point (for me it started with Cinguage- i think i forgot) note: Take the cable car even if it is 90 rmb. it will save you time going up. Walking way up is not worth the climb. It took me around 5-6 hours reaching the top. by the way the entrance ticket is 190 rmb. the entrance for walking way up is different. i was walking my way up then suddenly there was a ticket check. i told them nobody asked me to purchase a ticket. they told me there is an office down. i was angry because i have to walk way down again to purchase the ticket from the office. they should not allow or open gates in the office if when you are already there on the top and they ask you for a ticket. what a waste of time. And yeah my journey going to the top started in the temple thingy maybe 930 am i forgot and i reached the top after 3pm... that was crazy walking way up. only very few, maybe less than 10 people were walking up. and i saw lots of people going down. So my suggestion for you is to take the cable car up and if you still have time you can go down walking and see some other spots. Going down walking by the way is 2.5 hours... cable car ride is just 15 minutes...
cncneuwamazing place to stroll for about 1.5-2 hoursthe ticket was a bit pricey but inside there is still good view. the small pond inside Honncun village is very stunning. also, the bridge you see right when you enter the gate, is beautiful too. inside Hongcun village, there is a little cafe, selling postcard with postal service — it’s a good memory for a traveller who loves sending postcards like me :)
e23***41☝️ Take the high-speed rail to Jiuhua Mountain. Get off at Chizhou Station and buy a 50 yuan/person transportation ticket at the Tourism Consultation Service Center (free transfer to the tourist service center, time shift see figure 2). When you arrive at the tourist service center, you will go up the mountain on the day of the change and enter the scenic spot. I chose the nearest Julong Hotel from the Zen Temple. Dinner was ordered at the hotel and the guest was given a 10% discount. On the 2nd day, the hotel had a buffet breakfast. Take the shuttle bus to the Huxingshanyu Tiantai Cableway and go to the Tiantai bye 🙏. It is recommended that you go to Shiwangfeng and see the panoramic view of the Tiantai. Get off the roof to take a car to the moon body hall, then from the moon body hall down all the way to Jiuhua Street back to the hotel, along the road can pass several temples. On the 3rd day, the hotel had breakfast. Go to the Zen Temple to worship 🙏, then take the cable car next to the 100-year-old mountain, go to the 100-year-old palace to worship the body of Bodhisattva, the 500-year-old Luohan Hall is spectacular, but the fog did not see the natural lying Buddha on the same day. Going down the centenary mountain, check out with luggage 🧳 (to the flower desk), take the bus to the flower desk ropeway at the entrance of the hotel, take the flower desk high-altitude plank road, enjoy the scenery of the time-wondering and foggy, and take the bus down the flower desk to return to the tourist service center. I found the opposite Jili Boutique Hotel to stay, not expensive and clean, dinner is ordered around, and also bought some Jiuhuashan specialties (Huangjing tea, Huangjing wine, Huangjing zhai, etc.) on the 4th day, sleep until I wake up naturally, and have a breakfast around. Take 15 minutes to walk to the 99 meters of Tibetan Bodhisattva (Dayuan Cultural Park) Bye 🙏, there is a water spray show at 10:30. After lunch, check out and take a free bus to the opposite visitor service center to return to the Chizhou High Speed Rail Station and sit on the Harmonious No. Suggestions: You can't go up the mountain by car on weekends and holidays. Try to buy a 50 yuan transportation ticket at the Chizhou Station Tourism Advisory Service Center (free transfer and tourist service center). Huatai scenic spot needs to be placed at the first or last stop of the trip, otherwise you have to go into the mountain twice and pay for the transportation fee. There are many rain and fog in Jiuhua Mountain, you need to prepare raincoats and rain shoes. Cableway tickets can be booked online, there may be discounts.

If you are seeking for amazing food and a very traditional small town experience, Datong town located a few kilometers away from Chizhou city. This riverside town has started to grow in the last few months, without losing its traditional lifestyle. Main courses varies with seasons, every time I visit seems to be something new to discover and try.
Had the opportunity to sail through the Changjiang (Yangtze) river, enjoy those beautiful sunsets and live the life of a local for few weeks. This town is not popular among tourists, which makes it a special option for those seeking to experience simple day-by-day live without the attractions, appearances or crowds. Datong life flows around the river, were people lives a very healthy and simple lifestyle.
Small towns are great getaways from busy city life, to reconnect with a peaceful life and explore traditional Chinese culture. In your way back to Chizhou city, you can find many natural attractions to visit and also reconnect with nature.

Take time to relax and enjoy the magnificent views in this mountain and get back to mother nature.
In a word, Hongcun Ancient Village is beautiful. Despite being much busier and more touristic compared with nearby Xidi and Lucun villages, Hongcun still remains well worth a visit - especially if you can take the time to explore every nook and cranny, every winding alleyway or even extend your exploration away from the crowds and into the countryside that surrounds it.
Of course, visiting Moon Pond is a must, but I think the real beauty lies in the entry way to the village, where a long pathway seems to float above the water leading to an entry point of the village.
If you have the time to enjoy a leisurely stay, then you might want to splurge on Zhang Mansion - a beautiful old-style hotel that extends fantastic hospitality to all their guests - from welcome snacks and tea on arrival, to complimentary fruit, tea and a proper tea set for use in the room and sparkling water in the room, on top of a very generous breakfast of congee plus a whole load of trimmings! However, despite the beautiful interiors and commendable hospitality, do note that the walls are thin...so if you have noisy neighbours, you’re going to hear them for sure...

One best thing happened because of the rail network extension in China is, we have the high speed train from Shanghai to 黄山 (literal translation Yellow mountain) in just under 3 hours. This wasn't there before 2 years, and it was much awaited by end of 2019; as 黄山 is comparatively a great getaway spot from Shanghai. It's quite a rare sight to see tropical mountains with not much plants and animals, 黄山 is one of them. With now being the transition from winter to spring, the mountains are perfect for a 3 day escape. And most importantly 黄山 has a lot of hiking routes, which I love the most. I'll share one of them here,
On day 1: Plan your arrival before day evening, and take the hotel at the bottom of the mountain. Especially at 汤口 village; there are many of them with decent breakfast. Then day 1 morning, get a bus to Yunggu temple where you buy bus tickets to go to starting point of hiking. After you get the bus ticket, hop on and get down at the starting point. Here again, you can decide whether you want to hike or cable car also available until White Goose ridge station (yes, there are different names for different view points). If you start to hike, there are many amazing view points that are self explorable. After you reach white goose ridge station, visit Begin-to-believe peak and Black tiger pine. Keep walking towards the hotel, using sign boards and reach there before sunset. You can't miss that for sure.
Day 2: It's your day on the mountain, you can choose to wake up early and see sunrise. Then go for little hike to nearby view points like turtle peak, and the tallest peak in 黄山 the lotus peak. Lion peak is also great to go around. After a relaxed day, I had a amazing hotpot at mountain top. It was such a good day.
Day 3: It's time to see the front side of mountain that has exhilarating views. You can choose to hike down on today and finish up an amazing trip. #qingmingtravel #urbanexplorer #anhuitravel #hiking
March / April are the best times to see the bright yellow fields of rapeseed flowers surrounding villages in Anhui - and Lucun is one of those villages you can explore to enjoy an escape into nature.
From Shanghai, you can take a high speed train to Huangshan North Train Station, which is only around 2.5-3 hours. Then, to reach Lucun Village, you can either take a bus from Huangshan North or hire a driver for the day. We decided to hire a driver for a day, at 350 RMB per day, to take us around a number of villages in the area.
Lucun is located near Hongcun Village, so you could easily schedule in a visit to at least two or three villages in one day if you’re pressed for time. Lucun is one of the smaller villages, charming and tranquil, and is said to be around 1,000 years old. while strolling through, we saw locals simply getting about their day prepping meals, washing clothes or heading out into the fields to work. The surrounding areas was beautiful - with bright yellow fields surrounding the immediate area around the village, and huge rolling hills in the distance.
