This marine museum is really interesting and a good visit with lots of surprises to discover
The Het Steen, one of the oldest castles in Europe, was looted by the Norwegians in 800 A.D. and later rebuilt as an important fortress of the Roman Empire. Renzi Rubens, a famous painter who lived here in his later years, once a prison for heavy prisons, is now renamed the Belgian National Maritime Museum, and is now one of Antwerp's most famous sightseeing spots. The giant statue at the castle gate ( pictured below) is said to be a man who steals breast milk and plays with drunks.
The Ocean Museum is very interesting and very European in style.
Antwerp has a marine museum although it is not seaside
