What people are saying:

The Arrow River is straddled by no less than five bridges. To get the most out of it I'd recommend hiring a bike to do this trail just to cover a bit more ground but if you want to walk its just as beautiful. There are a few cafes, wineries and things to see along the way so make sure you allow a full day for it. You won't be disappointed - the scenery is just gorgeous!

    A SMALL COLD RIVER.

We were driven pass the Arrow River in a group with AATKings. It is a small icy cold river surrounded by native forests.

    Pleasant walking options

We always walk along the Arrow River for a bit when we visit Arrowtown. There are a variety of walks to choose from - long and short, whatever you fancy. It is very picturesque, particularly in autumn...

A Wild River with Cool Suspension Bridges

We followed the Arrow River from Arrowtown to the Kawarau (Bungy) Bridge on the Arrow River Bridges Cycle Trail. It is a wild river with virtually no development except for the cool suspension bridge...

    Panned for gold

Arrowtown is amazing. We grabbed some incredible lamb for dinner, walked into the little shops, and even panned for gold in the river...with our hands.
