Located in Adelaide, South Australia, Adelaide Zoo is a vibrant and educational wildlife sanctuary. As one of Australia's oldest zoos, it not only displays a rich variety of flora and fauna, but also is committed to protecting endangered species and promoting ecological sustainability.
The zoo has multiple themed exhibition areas, covering everything from native Australian animals to rare species around the world. Visitors can get up close to iconic Australian animals such as kangaroos and koalas, as well as internationally rare species such as giant pandas and Sumatran tigers. Each exhibition area has been carefully designed to simulate a natural habitat to ensure the comfort and health of the animals.
In addition to viewing animals, Adelaide Zoo also offers a wealth of interactive experiences and educational activities. Visitors can participate in feeding experiences, animal Guide and behind-the-scenes explorations to learn about the animals' living habits and conservation knowledge. The zoo's educational programs aim to raise public awareness of ecological protection, especially environmental education for the younger generation.

The zoo is of moderate size and the exhibition area is well designed, where you can observe many Australian animals up close. It is the only zoo in Australia with pandas. Compared with watching pandas in China, you don't need to squeeze in with people, so the experience is still very good.
Huge for a kid, small for an adult 🤩 This zoo is a good place to spend the afternoon!

During a short stay in Adelaide, I had the opportunity to visit the Adelaide Zoo. While I was excited to see some of the animals such as the pandas and others, I was disappointed to find that some of the animals were still housed in outdated cages (such as some birds and primates). There were also some enclosures that were closed or had no animals - I can't comment on them because I don't know about them. I guess the housing problems have something to do with lack of funding. Generally speaking, the animals I did see seemed healthy. The zoo staff I encountered seemed attentive, helpful and friendly. ∴
It is convenient to book tickets. There are many kinds of animals in the park, many of which are very cute. I especially like the koalas, parrots, and the two national treasures giant pandas sent by China. The environment of the entire park is well protected, and the areas for different kinds of animals are also very clean. In short, it was a pleasant trip!
This is a paradise for children and a place for parents to relax.
It's a bit big inside. I took my four-year-old child to visit for more than two hours. At the beginning, I rented a small cart at the entrance, but it was a bit heavy. It was a bit heavy to push it. Later, I fed the alpacas and let them outside the pen. When I came out, they disappeared. I went here for the pandas. There are two of them. They are bigger than the ones I saw in the Chengdu Panda Base. The children like monkeys. I like the children's area inside the most. You can go in and feed the alpacas. We just bought some grass, and the alpacas squeezed in before we fed them as soon as we entered the door. The children were so scared that they spilled the whole bag of grass on the ground. There is no need to go there specifically. It's okay to just walk around. We stayed in Ade for too long this time and had nowhere else to go. It's very convenient to come here.
