There are around 11 Jama Masjids, located in different cites of India like Delhi, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Agra, Mathura, etc. However the Jama Masjid of Ahmedabad is unique in its Architecture, having mix of Islamic and traditional Hindu architectural elements. Built in 1424 by Ahmed Shah 1, it is one of the structures that helped Ahmedabad gain the status of India's first UNESCO World Heritage City. It is open for all and doesn't charge any entry ticket. The entry gates are not so pronounced. So, if you're planning to visit you should ask someone or you may miss it among the crowd & the busy shops.
