This trip was the only one that somehow went ahead in the torrential rain with other companies cancelling on the day. The horrible weather forecast was clear and plain to see be everyone but Explore Whitsundays were clearly only interested in taking their customers money instead of offer refunds!!!The trip went ahead and as the forecast predicted it rained the entire time. A storm hit over night and the conditions were so terrible that the captain decided to cancel the trip half way through and return us back to Airlie. When it came to requesting a refund having missed out on half of the trip, Explore Whitsundays offered a derisory $60pp considering the trip cost $400. Even the crew members were shocked that the trip went ahead. On the plus side even though the weather was awful, the Whitsundays were still spectacular to see. As for this company, I would avoid at all costs and choose one that values it customers rather than it’s wallet!!!
