    A lovely visit

It was lovely to be able to visit the Miyoshi Shrine whilst on a cruise stop. As with all the shrines in Japan, they are beautiful buildings and usually quite busy.

Taihei, where the Okumiya is located, is not so high, but it seems that it is a pretty hard mountain for amateurs above the intermediate level, so I only visited Satomiya. There is a place of worship at Taiheiyama in the Satomiya, and those who cannot go to Okumiya visit here. The deities enshrin Omiki Omikami, Shohikona Omikami, and Miyoshi Reijin. I heard about Miyoshi Reijin for the first time, but about Fujiwara no Miyoshi, a gozoku (local ruling family) in Akita, ...

This shrine is crowded with many people on New Year's Day. I came close, so I stopped by. There are no people and it feels a little cool.
