It can take either 2 hour or 4 hour tour depending on the package. Worth the money for the boat ride. Got to see eagle feeding, Gua Kelawar, stop at a beach for swimming and river cruising. The eagle feeding was spectacular and beyond words. The driver of boat explained various mountains as well. Overall, we really enjoyed the view during this tour. EXCITING, AMAZING, FUN, ADVENTUROUS, BEAUTIFULL !!!! Thats what i can describe for our recent trip to Kilim Mangrove Tour Langkawi. We book a four hour boat trip for our family of 16 pax. The boat is rent privately for our family. You can buy the package at the Kilim Geoforest Park Entrance. After get the ticket, you need to walk about 800 meters to the jetty. For the elders or kids who cannot walk far, can rent a buggy. Our 4 hour our include a visit to Bat Caves, Floating Fish Farm, Eagle Watching, Crocodile Cave, Snorkelling at Fossil Island. Kilim Geoforest national park has everything mangroves, islands, beaches, fossils, white bellied sea eagles, Brahmini kites, monitor lizards, monkeys, bat caves, floating villages beautiful limestone rockfaces it was just fantastic, we took a two hour boat trip around the Geoforest park and saw lots of eagles feeding and the mangroves were stunning 😍

#Whitebelliedseaeagles Kilim Geoforest was an amazing place to watch White bellied sea eagles hunt and feed we stayed and watched them catch fish and eat for more than one hour…… what an incredible experience… there were about 40 of them, it blew me away and it’s definitely something that I recommend that you do if you are ever near Kilim Geoforest in Malaysia

Kayaking is easy to pickup and food is cooked fresh for you when you preorder and arrive back at the fish farm after circling the mangroves. Beautiful site at Eagle point (Caught up with some eagle being fed) and learning along the way with great tour guides. Don't waste it on a boat tour, get physical. Eco-tip: feeding of the eagles are not recommended and avoid illegal eagle feeding companies. WWF might have approved some companies for the feeding. Eco tour-Flora and Fauna is a good recommendation. Getting There - Kilim Geoforest Park Attractions - Kelawar (Bats) Cave is located in the heart of Kilim mangrove swamps within the Kisap Forest Reserve. The cave is about 60 m long and was named as such beca use it supports hundreds of bats. It consists of two caves. The western cave has a floor area of about 270 m sq with a low roof (1-3m) trending northeast. The second cave is bigger, having a floor area of about 750m sq, with roof reaching 10m high and trending north-northwest. Getting There Flight from Kuala Lumpur then car to Kilim Geoforest Park. Sign up for a tour which comes with a guide and includes lunch and hotel transfer for convenience. Attractions Watch eagles feeding, fish farm visit and kayak around the mangroves of Kilim Geoforest Park. From Kuah town it took us about 20 mins to get there, the we were ushered onto a speed boat to a fish farm for a short tour. We were then briefed on how to use the kayak, we could opt for a single or a double kayak. The kayaking tour starts from the open sea and then slowly leading into the inner channels of the mangroves. It’s the only chance for us to get so up closed inside the mangroves and it felt surreal! To navigate inside the mangroves requires patience and some skills as the pathways can be quite tight and it depends on the water level as well. Your guide should be able to spot some wildlife for you when you’re kayaking there. Duration Total about 5 hours from pick up to drop off. Total kayak time around 1.5-2 hours, depending on group size. Things to note Wear swimwear beneath long sleeves and long pants and use sun protection. Bring a cap. This is one of the must-do tours while on the island because of its amazing flora & fauna, stunning geological formations like mammoth limestone rocks, caves, lagoons, beaches, and of course large dense forests of mangroves. There are many tour companies that provide excursions to the Kilim Geoforest Park. The tour we took included several stops such as cave of bats, a fish farm and a crocodile cave. On the way to these places we saw mangroves and made a stop to feed gorgeous red-brown eagles. The tour we bought was around 3 hours and it was just great!
