Haci Bayram Mosque

DescriptionHacı Bayram Veli Mosque is a mosque in Ankara. Along with Kocatepe Mosque it is one of the best known mosques in Ankara. Hacı Bayram Mosque was built during the Ottoman Empire period. It was named after the Turkish Sufi and poet Hacı Bayram-ı Veli on behalf of the latter.

The Hajibahram mosque was built in the 15th century and tiles were added in the 18th century. Hac Bayram Veli is a Muslim saint who founded the Bayramiye Sofi Order in about 1400, the center of which is located in Ankara. He was buried here, and it became the headquarters of the Order for the Turks, an empire founded by Ottoman I. The Turks first lived in the interior of Central Asia, and then moved to the Anatolian Peninsula in Asia Minor. In its most powerful days, it was in three continents: Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East and North Africa, the Strait of Gibraltar, the Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf in the north and now Austria and Slovenia in the south and now North Sudan and Yemen. After the destruction of the Eastern Roman Empire, the capital was established in Constantinople, and the name was changed to Istanbul, and the heirs of the Eastern Roman Empire took their own place.

Not so big, but historic and atmospheric mosque
