What travelers say:

The former German consulate site, just a stone's throw away, is the German business office in the North Sea, specializing in kerosene trade and agent recruitment of Chinese workers to overseas business. It was one of the largest foreign trades in the North Sea in Britain, Germany and Portugal at that time.

Additional Information

The former site of German Senbao International Co., Ltd. is a western-style building with a two-story coupon gallery, 9.4 meters high, sloping tile roofs on all sides, and 2 meters high on the ground. The annex building has the same style as the main building, with only one floor and a ridge of 0.5 meters in height. Founded in 1891, it is the business organization of German businessman Senbao (Jews) in Beihai, specializing in kerosene trade and agency recruitment and overseas business. The former site of Germany's Senbao Yangxing is an important material evidence for foreign firms to set up commercial firms in Beihai, and it is also the only remaining former site of foreign commercial firms in Beihai.
