The time has passed, the traces of the Chinese embassy in the former Yugoslavia will never be erased, and NATO's atrocities are vivid. Although high-rise buildings have been built, the ruins have been remembered.
The ruins of the Qiannan embassy in the sun: the Serbian people will always remember that China's sacrifice was only a commemorative plaque on the edge of the green grass, and the bouquet under the plaque silently reminding people: 17 years ago, this place was ruthlessly bombed by artillery fire; Seventeen years ago, three Chinese journalists were killed here. This meadow is the site of the former Chinese embassy in Yugoslavia. Now it will undertake a new mission to build a Chinese cultural center that conveys peace and friendship. Due to the radiation of the bombed building exceeding the standard, the two sides signed an agreement in 2004 to transfer the old site and the right to use the museum to the government of Serbia, and the Serbian side provided China with plots to build a new museum. Nearly a decade after the attack, the dilapidated old pavilion stood silently and weeds grew as the most direct witness of NATO's brutal bombing. Every year around May 7, all staff of the Chinese Embassy in Serbia, local Chinese groups, Serbian civil society and individuals will come to worship the soul and lay a wreath and bouquet.
The former military wing was also bombed, and it was kept in the city center.
