A Beautiful church at lake Bohinj, not stunning but still worth of your time as it easy to access. A good opportunity to take pictures and enjoy a walk around this lake.
All descriptions, older than two years, are wrong. Church has now new presentation, prepared for curious visitors. They have displays with short or long descriptions of the place, church, frescoes ad ...
There is a small admission charge to view this gem of a church. The lady on the desk was very welcoming and helpful. The church is covered in wall paintings, several illustrating the life of St John.
We did not know what to expect from this church but we like to visit churches for historical reasons so we went in, in passing. We were surprised to have to pay an entrance fee but I think this place...

Really picturesque
Plenty of parking on both sides of the bridge and only a few euros for a few hours. The lake, river and church compliment each other beautifully.
