St. Petri Dom Bremen

Built in 1403, St. Peter's Basilica in Bremen is a mix of Roman and Gothic architecture. The twin towers are like two swords straight into the clouds, and the green spires echo the green roof of the City Hall.

It is a very historic church, very old. We only leave Bremen for a day of tour, so the door was closed when we arrived at the church, but the surroundings are also beautiful

I have been there several times, and I saw that there were mummies and went to the mummies... The old lady working in the church was very enthusiastic and accompanied us upstairs and downstairs to visit in detail. We also saw two underground chapels and the cultural relics exhibition hall in the church, that is, I didn't see the mummies alive and dead.

The cathedral of Bremen, located in the core area of the old city, is also a landmark building of Bremen. The Roman-style twin towers, plus the gorgeous but calm interior decorations and statues, have the right light and shadow effect, which is very in line with the typical temperament of the Hanseatic League city.

St. Peter's Basilica is one of the oldest churches in Europe and probably one of the longest completed. Built around 789, in 1041, most of Bremen and the cathedral were destroyed by fire. Rebuilding destroyed buildings and adding or completing the church construction began. It was not until 16 centuries ago that the church was near its present appearance. Unfortunately, lightning struck one of the towers and caused it to collapse. In the early 18th century, the church was repaired until some damage was caused during World War II and repaired. Beneath the church was a basement of lead, so high that the farmers who worked and fell to death on the building were petrified and their bodies intact. There were other bodies in the cellar, even a cat and other handicrafts. The church is really beautiful with a wealth of historical information and information. Sitting in the middle of the city, you don’t even have to visit the place specifically.

I have not noticed that there are many characteristic church buildings in Germany that feel very powerful, and Petrie is a very famous one.
