What travelers say:

The Church of St. Nicholas is the main church of Kotor. The church was built in 1166. The double cross on the roof of the cathedral is also called the "archbishop's cross." The internal frescoes are very exquisite, and there are many treasures in the church. You can also enjoy the beautiful view of the entire bay from the bell tower.

    Do the church and museum!

I really enjoyed this. Beautiful structure. To visit the church is free. Pay the small entrance fee to see the museum at the back. Worth doing.

    Sveti Nikola

Located on the central square and the large bell tower is visible from almost everywhere. Its current appearance is dated from 1616 (after the reconstruction of an older church).

Combine with Our Lady of the Rock

Just a very short walk from where you take the boat to Our Lady of the Rock is another wonderful old church with great art, etc. Worth a 20 min walk through either before or after your boat tour.

    The parts make a whole

One of the more intersting churches in the tiny city of Perast, the city that must have more churches per capita than enywhere else. Partly started in 1616 with Romanesque and Renaissance elements....
