Really cute village that has lots of cute murals to take Instagram-worthy pictures with and explore. We loved the personality in each of the murals and the creativity everywhere! I believe there are still people living in some of the homes, so there were a few signs to make sure we were respectful of that. I really enjoyed my time there and I wish I could spend more time as I fell in love with it! Peaceful, colorful and joyful! Would I visit it again? Absolutely! 😍
Gamcheon Cultural Village is a tourist attraction in the city of Busan that any visitor wants to visit if they opportunity traveling to Korea. In the 1950s, Gamcheon was considered a slum when refugees; poor people, people who lost families and homes during the Korean War, all flock here. They erected about 800 dented wooden houses and spread along the hillsides. After the war, life here was still very difficult, lacking electricity and water. Many people have left Gamcheon to find a better living area, but many still remain.
GREAT THINGS NEVER CAME FROM COMFORT ZONES
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.
It wasn't until we started to live a life less ordinary that we understood how much control we had on our lives and just how amazing we could make it.

Gamcheon Culture Villiage is formed by houses built in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain, earning this village the nickname "Machu Picchu of #busan." Many alleys that cut through this community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents #korea
