Located across the street from the Hilton Doubletree Hotel, this Catholic church is worth a visit. This is a modern building with 24 incredible, themed stained glass windows, depicting a variety of regional, historic & religious scenes, as well as the Peace Window. You could spend a lot of time here, admiring the details in each stained glass window. Admission is free.
Very good, all the dishes taste very good, it is recommended to try, the steak in this shop is also very good, friends who like it can also try
On the first day in Cairns (Monday, July 24, 2017), my wife and I went to Santa Monica Cathedral for a tour, enjoyed a moment of inner peace, and also visited the prestigious stained glass windows. On one side of this building, the windows of the first two chapters of Genesis are printed with God's creation of the world. These designs were created by artist Gerry Cummins and Jill Stern. Interestingly, these descriptions are intertwined with some native Australian flora and fauna. Behind the church is a flat window-there are also many local patterns. The lively and vivid coloring and contemporary design of these windows are worth seeing.
A building that looks inconspicuous on the outside, until you enter inside to change your view. This is the most amazing stained glass window and storyboard I have ever seen. They also have regular concerts, which are wonderful, so not only can you experience wonderful music, the added benefit is that you can also sit in the most beautiful environment and atmosphere.
The building is a cylindrical modern building. Only when you see a cross on the top of the building do you know that this is a church. We did not go in because many people were worshiping.
