During my trip to Melbourne, Carlton Gardens was an unforgettable destination. This historic garden not only showcases the essence of Australian landscape art but also blends rich cultural heritage, offering visitors a feast for the eyes and soul.
As soon as I stepped into Carlton Gardens, I was captivated by its vast lawns, dense avenues, and colorful flowers. The garden was established in 1839 and has become one of Australia's most famous garden buildings. Covering an area of about 26 hectares, it is grand in scale and elegant in environment. Whether it's the first ray of sunshine in the morning or the golden afterglow at dusk, Carlton Gardens showcases different beauty in its unique way.
Walking along the garden paths, I felt like I had traveled back to Europe a hundred years ago. The architectural style here is unique, blending Gothic, Renaissance, and other elements, with every detail full of artistic atmosphere. The Royal Exhibition Building, as a landmark building in the garden, attracts countless tourists with its spectacular appearance and rich historical background. Various exhibitions and events are often held inside the exhibition hall, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of Melbourne's rich cultural heritage and artistic atmosphere.
In addition to the beauty of the architecture, the natural landscape of Carlton Gardens is equally enchanting. There are two small lakes in the garden, with clear water reflecting the surrounding green trees and flowers, like a beautiful painting. On the lawn, children run and play happily, and pets stroll leisurely in the sun, filling the entire garden with vitality and energy.
During my visit, I also discovered that Carlton Gardens is a great place for photography. Whether it's the ancient buildings, lush trees, or colorful flowers, they can all become the focus of the lens. I brought my camera to capture these beautiful moments as precious memories of this visit.
Moreover, the convenience of transportation to Carlton Gardens is commendable. There are several stations and tram stops near the garden, making it easy for visitors to reach and explore nearby attractions. This also makes Carlton Gardens an ideal urban oasis, providing a place of tranquility and relaxation amidst the hustle and bustle of city life.
Overall, my experience at Melbourne's Carlton Gardens was enjoyable and unforgettable. It not only boasts beautiful natural scenery and unique architectural styles but also rich cultural heritage and convenient transportation. Whether for nature lovers or history and culture enthusiasts, Carlton Gardens is a must-visit destination.
Lovely place to walk past on the way to the Melbourne museum. This time of the year, there’s autumn leaves covering the walkways. There is even a small pond with some ducks in the corner. And right in front of the royal exhibition hall, there is a fountain where sometimes you will catch couples taking their wedding photos here.
The gardens are huge (26 hectares) and I wandered through them before a theatre performance so only saw a few. Located in the CBD, the gardens are very nice with lots of greenery. There are ducks in the pond. I have to mention the facilities in the park - it includes the Melbourne Museum, the Royal Exhibition Building (closed when I visited) and the IMAX Theatre.
Carlton Garden is also a famous attraction in Melbourne. The garden occupies a large area and is lined with old trees. All the leaves have turned yellow, and the mood of autumn is strong. There is a fountain at the end of the tree path, where a couple of Hong Kong people are taking wedding photos. The fountain is exquisitely carved and has a strong classical flavor. The thick-browed boy felt as if he had gone to a garden in Europe. There are many people taking a nap on the grass in the garden. The thick-browed boy really envies Australia for having such a beautiful public space, unlike the so-called parks in Hong Kong where there is almost nothing to do except dance the auntie dance.
Here is "Carlton Gardens", a large green lawn and a very artistic building. I saw Chinese people taking wedding photos inside and I came to Shanghai's forest park. . . The park is very large and quiet, you can step on the soft lawn without scruples.
The garden was built in 1839. In 2004, Carlton Garden was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Carlton Garden covers an area of about 26 hectares. In 1880, Australia hosted the Melbourne World Expo, Carlton Gardens and its adjacent Royal Exhibition Hall were built for the Expo. The garden was specially designed for the grand international exhibition held in Melbourne from 1880 to 1888. The Royal Exhibition Hall and the gardens are made of wood, brick, steel and slate, and the overall style is a combination of Byzantine style and even elements from the Italian Renaissance. Its glory days were held before 1915 AD, with more than 50 international large-scale exhibitions from Paris, New York, Vienna, Jamaica, Chile and other places.
