The Chaozhou Kaiyuan Temple Tai Buddha Hall is located on the east side of Hanjiang Bridge, opposite Huiru Park. It is the first large-scale Thai Buddhist Buddhist temple in China, which was built by the philanthropist Xie Huiru (1913-1996), who donated a large amount of money to build. The complex of the imitation Thai Yunshi Temple is very Thai, with multi-faceted roofs with fish scales and upside yellow figures, and the pillared corners with dragons and phoenixes showing auspicious meaning. The gable decorations, the top shapes of the doors and windows are concentrated in the ancient Thai modelling art, which fully embodies the wonders of Thailand. Exotic exoticism.

2021/3/20 I came to this tour and I didn't expect that there was such a place in Chaozhou. I really thought I felt Thailand! No tickets are needed for the tour, there are not many tourists, and it is quite quiet and beautiful.

The Thai Buddha Hall is not in Kaiyuan Temple, but stands alone on the east side of Hanjiang Bridge, opposite Huiru Park. Walk more than 600 meters from Kaiyuan Temple to Chengnan Primary School and take bus No. 8 or No. 1 directly. The Thai Buddhist Temple is the first Thai-style Buddhist temple with a unique tropical style, grand scale and beautiful architecture in Han Buddhism in my country. You can feel the exotic style here without going abroad. This is the most surprising discovery I have in Chaozhou.
