Zhenyuan Hall, Shima

Leaving Shucheng Rock, I continued to Shimen Mountain. As one of the 5 heritage points of the World Heritage Dazu Stone Carvings, Shimen Mountain's historical and artistic value is not lost to Baoding Mountain and Beishan. It is also the most anticipated grotto for this visit. Unfortunately, I still ate the closed door. So only the cockroach left, and temporarily decided to go to Shima Town not far away. The most famous thing in Shima Town is the Marun Church. Mapao Church, formerly known as Shima Zhenyuan Church, is the branch of the Catholic Archdiocese of Chongqing Zhenyuan Church. It was a two-silver sum paid by the Qing Dynasty after the Dazu case. It was built by the French Du and Meng Er-Church, of which the Great Jingtang was built in Guangxu 30 years (1904), and the Bell Tower and the Small Jingtang were built in the first year of Xuantong (1909). Today, the Mapao Church is still the largest Catholic church in the western region. But it may be that the church that has been renovated in recent years, and the newly painted walls look completely new. There is no vicissitudes of a century of churches, and it is a little disappointing. I don't know why, the horse running church did not open the door, so I only explored it through drones. I have to say that the horse running church from the perspective of the drone is still very shocking. It is in a great location on the high side of the hill. The architectural community of the Chinese and Western is just right. The layout is like the courtyard in the north. The courtyard is quiet and the ancient trees are towering, but the building is in French Gothic style. The accident is very good with the surrounding environment. Because I didn't go inside, more details are unknown, but a story about this church found online is still very interesting: the horse running church became the center church of Dazu after the repair, and Guangxu was director of the French priest Roland in 28 years. He and Saint delan had 15 correspondences, 14 of which were held as world treasures at the Vatican National Museum, but one letter from Little Delan was buried under the shrine of Shimazhenyuan, which has not yet been found. It is said that at the time, a 14-year-old church member was called by the Lord, and Father Roland buried his most precious thing, a letter from Little Drane, on the chest of the dead. Catholics around the world were concerned about the letter, which also made the church more famous. When the church was repaired in 2009, three slabs were dug out, and the words were engraved with the original hall, which was always a mystery.
