The Christchurch Art Center is not big. There is a small square in front of it. Someone performs acrobatics there. Many foreigners sit there and watch it. It is very lively. But I looked at it, the quality of acrobatics is actually very poor, not very good-looking. Foreigners are still very happy to see. Maybe the locals are too boring, so enjoy the sun there. The art center is basically free anyway.
Christchurch Arts Centre is a classic Gothic building and the site of the University of Canterbury.
