Kaolao Mountain

Castanopsis Mountain is located at the head of Shanglin Lake in Cixi, Zhejiang Province, with a high altitude, green trees on the mountain, and roaring waterfalls in the stream. The mountains, waters, stones and trees in the 栲栳 Mountain are all the work of nature, and there is absolutely no artificial chisel marks. Just like its name, it is primitive and simple. The mountain is divided into two peaks, the east and the west, and the white mist is vast for many years. There is a valley between the two peaks, and the rushing water at the bottom of the valley is the Castanopsis Stream. There are many wild camellias on the waterfall ridge in the mountains. Every year before and after Qingming, the tender buds spit fragrance. The ancient and famous "Xianming tea" is produced here. In the Tang Dynasty, Lu Yu mentioned in the "Tea Classic": "Taizhou, Mingzhou and Taizhou both produce tea", and "the one with more production is the best". Lu Yu also said: "The waterfalls and springs in Yuyao County are called Xianming." According to the "Yuyao Liucang Zhi", it is recorded: "The waterfall is in the Castanopsis River", which shows that the name of "Xianming" is worthy of the name. Taste the "Xianmingzhu tea", the grains are round and firm, and the white hair is faint. When you brew a cup, the whole house is fragrant. After drinking a sip, you will be full of breath. The strange peaks and dangerous ridges of the mountain and the clear water of Shanglin Lake are really good places to cultivate one's qi.
