Snapper Rocks

I always parked my car at the dangerous corner near Captain Cook’s lighthouse and never needed to go too far. The views here are amazing, the southern Tweed Estuary, Flagstaff Beach and beyond. I saw whales here at specific times of the year. Then I went through all the information of Centuar Remembrance Walk, enjoyed the view of the north and the trout rock, walked to Froggy beach where the green frogs were on the rock, I watched people in the artificial pool, the waves covered the pool and then retreated (depending on the tide and the swell - great), Watch the surfers at the squid rock and avoid the steps on the sidewalk. It's a great way to spend time.

Traveling along Queensland's beautiful Gold Coast, most beaches look the same and then suddenly you come to the salmon rock. Wow, the waves are pouring in here and then you quickly notice there are some serious surfers here. Worth a visit.
