What travelers say:

The botanical garden has a very long history. It is a very beautiful botanical garden. Although the area is not very large, the whole botanical garden is lush and scented with birds and flowers. It has Nordic characteristics and is free of charge.

Additional Information

Introduction

The botanical garden was originally established in 1600 by the imperial contract of King Christian IV. From 1621 it was taken over by the Danish physician and researcher Ol Worm. Up to now, some of the buildings and plants in the 10-hectare botanical garden have a history of more than 150 years. It is the largest collection of live plants in Denmark, and the garden is also home to Denmark's wild plant gene bank and one of the largest herbariums in the world.
