Epic spot for a swim. Car parking, toilets, during summer folks sell snacks. Shallow lake bed with a pier for jumping in (feet first). 5 min drive from collinstown. #ramblingstampcollectors

Nice lake with lovely views that can get very busy on occasion. Toilet, benches and car parking available.
Quiet and tranquil
Near the Fore Valley. Lough Lene is a very tranquil spot. There is a car park and toilets available. A nice place for a picnic and a swim.

Difficult place to find but worth researching. Much bigger lake than I had expected and there are good facilities there - big tarmacadam car park, toilets, changing rooms and benches around the lake. ...
