EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum

Definitely worth visiting to learn about the history of Ireland and people with Irish roots as well as media and culture.

The Irish Emigration Museum offers a great immersive experience. It explains very thoroughly the causes of emigration during the centuries and shows how the emigrants were treated. It also shows how they influenced the countries they arrived.It’s really a must! Other countries have a similar experience with emigration but I’ve never seen such curated museum.

Dublin has a lot of great museums, but the favorite is the EPIC (Irish Migration Museum) on the edge of the Liffey River. As we all know, Ireland is not big, but it is an important exporter of immigrants, for centuries, Irish immigrants have a footprint in North America, the United Kingdom, Australia and even China... Every time immigrants, there is a profound history and era background, or because of the Great Famine, Or because domestic jobs are scarce... Behind every immigrant or immigrant family, there are unseen stories that may seem trivial compared to the vast history of mankind, but are carefully recorded here. Tell people to go, why these uprooted people are leaving their hometowns to go to a foreign country with uncertain future. EPIC, with live and not boring examples and evidence, tried to lead people back to the scene of history in just two hours, and strangers seemed to be your relatives and friends, telling the story of human courage and hope in finding new life and pursuing dreams. Courage and hope are two good words.
