Don't miss Dujiangyan when you travel to Chengdu! A one-day tour itinerary!
The off-season in Dujiangyan is truly an earthly paradise,
with not too many people, making it a great place for taking beautiful photos.
It's perfect for a day trip from Chengdu by high-speed train 🚄,
especially for friends who are visiting Chengdu.
I suggest you definitely set aside one day
for a pilgrimage to the water conservancy project of Dujiangyan.
🚅 Departing from Chengdu Xipu, a high-speed train to Lidui Park Station in Dujiangyan costs only 10 yuan, and it takes just over twenty minutes to get there.
(ps: Dujiangyan Station is a bit farther, so remember to buy a ticket to Lidui Park Station)
First stop: Selfie with a Panda 🐼
Right after coming out of Lidui Park is the popular selfie 🤳🏻 spot with the super cute lying-down giant pandas, where you can take a photo with them.
Second stop: Guanxian Ancient Town
Opposite the selfie spot with the giant panda is Guanxian Ancient Town, where there are many special snacks like fried potatoes, sweet wine rice balls, scallion rolls, soy milk buns... all delicious!
Third stop: Dujiangyan Scenic Area
You really must visit the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, where the scenery throughout is particularly beautiful. Recommended tour route: Qinyan Tower — Erwang Temple — Anlan Suspension Bridge — Fish Mouth — Feisha Weir — Baopingkou — Fulong Temple.
When visiting the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, besides walking and enjoying the scenery, it is also highly recommended not to miss the 'Furong Essence · Shangshan Dujiangyan' performance in the scenic area, a stunning large-scale immersive stage drama with the legend, history, culture, and folklore of the ancient Dujiangyan as the narrative background.
It is divided into 'Ancient Weir Legend', 'Water-Born Tea Fragrance', 'Marketplace Variety', 'Inquiry of Dance and Fans', 'Millennium Change', 'Water Worship and Blessing', which recreates the legendary history of Li Bing and his son leading the construction of the ancient weir 2,279 years ago, and also integrates many Sichuan characteristic performances, such as Sichuan Opera face-changing. After watching it, you really feel it's very exciting and totally worth the ticket price.
The ticket for the Dujiangyan Scenic Area and the Furong Essence · Shangshan Dujiangyan performance are separate. There are two performances each day, one at 11 am and the other at 3 pm, each lasting about fifty minutes.
Fourth stop: Wenmiao Mountain Street
After coming out of the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, you can stroll around the old street of Wenmiao Mountain Street~ There are many retro items here, and it's great for taking photos and checking in.
Fifth stop: South Bridge
You should definitely come and enjoy the evening breeze at South Bridge, which is even more beautiful when the lights are on after dark. With the recent weather, around 7:30 pm, you can see the stunningly beautiful 'Blue Tears'.
After watching the 'Blue Tears', you can have dinner near South Bridge, and then take the high-speed train 🚄 directly back to Chengdu~ The last train 🚄 is at 21:55, which is totally manageable.
Thank you for reading, see you next time 👋🏻
Super worth a visit. This is the second time I came here. The last time was summer. I came in June. I had a different feeling in winter. I really experienced what is called the picturesque water. I asked Qingcheng Mountain. I suggested to go.
The Dujiangyan scenic spot is quite large, and it is really recommended to save effort from Qinyulou Exit 6 and go all the way down to get out of the pile. In winter, the Lijiang River has a small flow and no summer shocking scenery to discount.
Dujiangyan does not climb the mountain at all, you can go shopping in an hour and a half. It should take about three hours to climb the mountain. The sightseeing car is not too necessary to buy. It is almost a flat road. It will be there for half an hour. Listen to the sound of the water and see the scenery.
Dujiangyan, located in Chengxi, Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, . It is a masterpiece of ancient water conservancy projects. It still plays an important role in agricultural irrigation and flood control in Chengdu Plain. It is composed of the canal head hub (yuzui, Feisha, Baopingkou), the irrigation area at all levels of water diversion channels, various types of engineering buildings and large, medium and small reservoirs, etc., and is a huge engineering system. Dujiangyan is not only the pearl of ancient Chinese scientific and technological civilization, but also the water conservancy epic in the list of world cultural heritage, showing the wisdom and tenacity of the ancients.
The scenery is beautiful, the blue sky, the trees all over the mountains, like a green sea
The last time I went to Dujiangyan Scenic Area for 33 years, the scenery is still the same, but the tickets have risen a lot, and there are many tourists. At the highest point, Yulei Pavilion was installed with an escalator (20 one way).
Dujiangyan, as a thousand-year-old water conservancy project is still benefiting the people of Chengdu, it must not be amazing! Yu Qiuyu said that although Dujiangyan has no reputation for the Great Wall, its achievements are far short of the Great Wall! We entered from Qin Yulou, step by step, and took the shortest route. It was indeed the essence! Fish mouth, treasure bottle mouth, flying sand ~ one did not pull! Three diversions, so that the water of the Lijiang River into Chengdu is not much, so that the Chengdu Plain has become the country of Tianfu. I heard the sound of rumbling water from afar, and now it is upright and abundant, so flying sand is also faintly visible! I heard the sound of water, and while sighing for the great project, I didn't feel like I wanted to see if there were fish! Conditional reflection, as soon as it rained heavily in summer when I was a child, I went to the canal to catch fish! There are always so many salmon grabbing water there! [covering face] The tour guide said that there are indeed fish, and the sale is still very expensive! When I went to Qingcheng Mountain in the afternoon, the sky was almost clear. I don't know if the god tree communicated the day before! In short, thank you very much! There is a saying that people are not as good as the sky! Qingcheng Mountain is a place to rest after all, so the air is very good, the environment is also very quiet, the temperature is normal than two or three degrees lower than the city, the hot day here may feel deeper, these days are raining, the temperature itself is not high, so it feels not big. Just climbed Huangshan during the New Year, So I feel that Qingcheng Mountain should not be under the word. Of course, we have no right to say that, the cable car is down [screaming teeth] (considering the old, the young, the people are too many) Anyway, there is no feeling of climbing a road like Huangshan for a long time! We underestimated the children and underestimated ourselves. They climbed faster than adults! Because of the cable car, I also missed a lot of beautiful scenery! Did not punch in to the 83 version West
It is beautiful and worth a visit to Dujiangyan. It is an ancient and important water conservancy project, which not only played an important role in history, but also still has irreplaceable value in modern society. ① 2 Dujiangyan is located in Dujiangyan City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, and is Taishou Li Bing, Qin Guoyu County. It was built in 256 BC. The project is mainly composed of fish mouth, flying sand scorpion. And Baopingkou. Composition, through the cooperation of these three parts, the automatic adjustment of water volume, sand discharge and other functions. The construction of Dujiangyan not only solved the local water problem, but also provided stable water source for agricultural production and promoted the economic development of Sichuan. The engineering design and construction of Dujiangyan reflects the wisdom and creativity of the ancients. It is not only a water conservancy project, but also has a rich cultural connotation, and its cultural significance penetrates into many aspects such as diet, architecture, dialect and national culture.
