The area and the Khampa culture have a long history and rich culture. Tea culture and Tibetan-Chinese Buddhist culture are ever present. There are a host of cultural relics, such as the ancient Horse and Tea Market and Erlang Mountain Horse Tea Road. There are remnants from the Red Army’s Long March, including the Headquarters of the Fourth Army of the Red Army and Dagang Mountain Battlefield.
