What people are saying:

My family and I walked a long way along one end of the town before we visited Coolangatta Beach and discovered a well-kept beach with rock pools, small bays and several acres of beautiful sandy beaches. Monitored by professional and helpful lifeguards to ensure the safety of your family. There are also wild animals, especially lizards, which provide my children with many opportunities for entertainment and photography. We saw whales rushing out of the sea, seeing dolphins jumping and playing during our walk-shocking! The trip here from Brisbane is definitely worth it.

Additional Information

Introduction

Located between Kirra Beach and Snapper Rocks, Coolangatta Beach is one of the Gold Coast’s only north-facing beaches. Due to this, its waters tend to stay calm and protected. It is easy to walk from Coolangatta around to Snapper Rocks and Danger Point where, if you’re lucky, you might spot whales or other marine life. Picnic facilities are located in Queen Elizabeth Park and just beyond there are several small stores and places to eat.
