Reserva Natural Especial de Las Dunas de Maspalomas

The Maspalomas Dunes are a nature reserve with 400 hectares and 3 ecosystems coexisting: a palm grove, a brackish water lagoon, and the dunes. The 5-km hike on the dunes was quite the experience, nevermind a rather easy feat, as I have expected. The desert-like proportions of the sandhills blocked all wind and sound, allowing us to submerge into complete silence and isolation even on one of the most visited coasts in Europe.

Sanmao once said that one of the reasons she stayed on Grand Canary Island was that the sand here reminded her of the Sahara. After we saw it, we felt really right. Find a place with a good view and sit down, look at the Faro de Maspalomas and the long coastline in the distance, and slowly hide in the dusk, the sea and the sand, how good it is to blend. Due to the excellent beach texture of this area, there are many high-end resort hotels nearby, and several beaches are famous for their celestial beaches. If you walk on the dunes and suddenly see the naked person, it is also a normal thing.
