This is a very nice monument, but what it commemorates, the history of the city of Grodno is even more impressive.
Can be skipped
Since it is visible from almost everywhere, it makes not much sense to head to the foot to see it closer.
Stella 850th anniversary of Grodno

Just throw a look
I expected from such a monument much more. It is one. There are no shops nearby, the grass is dry, the lawn is not. The places are cracked. Just walk past and look at it. I didn't cling to it.
Soviet symbolism
The monument in Kolozhsky Park is made in composition of high stelles with figures and the city's badge. The monument is made in the style of Soviet symbolism, installed and opened in 1978.
