The national-level new museum in Guangzhou is now open!
The new museum is located near the Guangzhou Tower, and its design resembles a blooming kapok flower, which is the hero flower of Guangzhou. It has been half a month since the museum opened, and the reservation is still full, making it very difficult to book.
The design of the new museum is particularly beautiful, and it is very photogenic. The exhibition spans five floors. As you walk up from the first floor, you can clearly see the changes in Chinese painting.
From the works of famous painters during the Yuan and Song periods (the peak of traditional Chinese painting), to the Ming and Qing periods (when Guangzhou was the only foreign trade port) began to come into contact with Western art, integrating perspective, color contrast, etc. into traditional Chinese painting, to the use of oil painting materials during the Republic of China, the treatment of character expressions and details, and then to modern paintings with distinctive characteristics of the times, the characteristics and development of Chinese painting at different periods are clearly visible.
There is also a Lingnan special exhibition that left a deep impression on me, with paintings of mountains, stones, flowers and birds, and animals from the perspective of Lingnan people. The brushwork is delicate and the colors are elegant, which is quite unique.
In addition, there is a special exhibition co-hosted with the Shanghai Art Museum, which displays many very precious paintings, a highly interactive digital exhibition hall, and a sculpture exhibition on the top floor, which is well worth the trip.
The new museum exhibits a lot of paintings, probably more than a thousand, and it takes a whole day to see them all. I plan to go several times.
The new museum has exhibited treasures of the town, such as Wen Tong's 'Ink Bamboo Picture', Dai Jin's 'Mountain High and Long Water Picture Scroll', etc., which are very precious. I don't know if they will be exhibited in the future, so if you have time, you should go as soon as possible.
In order to protect the paintings, many museums will add a glass cover to the paintings, and the new museum is no exception. What's different about the new museum is that the clarity of the glass is high and the reflection is low, making it clearer and more comfortable to watch. For a layman like me, it can be said that there is no impact at all.
I also encountered someone in the museum using a telescope to observe the details of the paintings. I learned a lot! I will arrange it next time too!

Guangzhou Art Museum, I moved on April 1st, and there are many people who check in. Half of the exhibition is closed, and some sculptures are volunteers to explain the professional park. The trees are green, the birds are fragrant, the pavilion and bridge corridor are dotted with them. After the rain, the air is fresher, the grass is green, the swan and various duck water birds, ecological balance [jumping]
I have visited many museums, and the Guangzhou Art Museum is too low-key in comparison: it is not big, hidden in the old city, the main entrance is too small to pay attention to. But think about it is also in line with its niche exquisite style, its architectural characteristics and exhibits, and those pigeons who take this place as their home, it really reflects its difference. Maybe because of the relocation and demolition, many exhibition halls are not open, and there are currently large-scale exhibitions and 3 permanent exhibitions in the exhibition. Overall, it mainly displays the history of Guangdong art development: the mutual influence and continuation of various painting schools, the representative works of everyone, the various export paintings produced in Guangzhou as a center of foreign trade... If you want to give it some names, compared with other museums in Guangzhou, I think it is: 1. The most elegant museum (the core exhibits are elegant and fresh, gentle and gentle) 2. The most distinctive museum in the building (the architectural design is very careful at first glance, the arches of the exhibition hall prompt you to enter another world; semi-circular and round windows, cross skylights overhead; small round windows to make the effect of lights; round and triangular stairs... 3. The museum with the most pigeons (obviously pigeons are more popular than exhibits, and the museum is closed. Everyone is reluctant to leave the pigeons hhh. It feels that the pigeons are fattened by tourists, and they will always occupy a driveway waiting for feeding. Each one is raised fat. It is also very suitable to stop in the yard into a five-line spectrum on a sculpture. It is really pleasant to think about sitting on a bench and feeding pigeons when you are tired after watching the exhibition in the sunny afternoon! To be fair, it may be because of the old site and the old museum. The design route of the exhibition is relatively vague, and there is no obvious instructions. The first time visitors will be more confused, I don't know how to go around, and it is easy to miss some exhibitions. But what surprised me was that there was a permanent commentator who explained it regularly! And adults and children can paint hydrant paintings together on the spot! I hope that this project can be retained after I go to the new museum.
First of all, the building must have an artistic sense and there are many elements. If it is here, there are still quite a lot of people, so there are still more people here. The stairs here are also distinctive. Tickets are free for a limited time.
Guangzhou Art Museum is a base of patriotic education for teenagers with a quiet environment. The Pavilion is divided into three floors, each floor has different exhibition rooms, but some of them are not open. Most of the exhibitions are renowned painters and musicians in Lingnan. There is an open-air garden in the atrium of the pavilion. It is a landscape with mountains, waters and fish. There are sculptures in it. What is rare is that there is a free bookstore in the museum, where you can read and rest when you are tired of the exhibition. There is also a mobile phone charging station in the bookstore, which can solve the problem that everyone is crazy because the mobile phone is powerless. These days, there happens to be an exhibition of children's works. Dragon Boat, Awakening Lion, Riding Tower, Cantonese Opera, Cuisine... These well-known Cantonese culture are planned, produced, compiled and arranged into exhibitions by students themselves. Every painting shows the bold creativity of the small artists. On the weekend, I brought my baby to the first floor of Guangzhou Art Museum to feel the Cantonese charm and the culture in calligraphy.
