Jianyuan Garden

When I was reading, I saw this small house in the middle of the west and the west. Later, I consulted some information and learned that Jianyuan was one of the "Five Overseas Chinese Gardens" in Dongshan during the Republic of China. It was a villa built by Nanyang Tobacco Company Jianzhao Nan and Jian Yujie Jian's brothers. At the beginning of the construction, this bungalow was three floors high and there were fountains and flowers in the front garden. The wall is decorated with green pottery bamboo tubes, and the balcony is floating above the vault door. It is said that at the entrance of the first porch, there is also a pair of majestic court-style lions. After the completion, Jianyuan served as the German consulate; in the 1920s, he served as the mansion of the National Government President Yuan Yanxu. Unfortunately, the gate is always closed, only passing by the door, looking at this Chinese and Western building through the fence, people are insane.

Jianyuan is located at No. 24 Shiguyuan Road, Yuexiu District, not far from Dongshankou Station of the subway, and there is a bus station nearby, which is convenient for transportation. Jianyuan was the residence of the Jane Brothers of Nanyang Tobacco Company, which was built in the early days of the Republic of China and has a European architectural style of old houses, and is a key cultural relics protection unit in the country. Because the garden is not open to the outside world, through the outer walls and iron gates of the garden, you can vaguely see the typical Chinese green pottery bamboo decoration, there is a pair of powerful stone lions in front of the porch, the garden in front of the fountain flower and pavilion, quite Chinese and Western culture wall style.

Get off at Dongshankou Station of the subway and visit Dongshan Small House on foot. Jianyuan is one of them. Here you can not only enjoy different styles of architecture, but also perceive the history of learning that period. Here, the shade is surrounded by greenery, the environment is quiet, slowly walk along the wall, you listen carefully, you can perceive their words within the wall.

The history of Jianyuan has many resounding names: the German Consulate, the Yanyan Mansion, Mao Zedong visited the Yanyan place many times, the site of the three Communist Party Congresses...Standing outside the courtyard, only see the exterior wall of beige grainy gray sand, vaguely imagine the style of the year.

The architectural style is unique and worth a walk.
