A soon-to-be fourth-grade elementary school student checked in at the scenic spot for watching the tide. The tide on the eighth day of the lunar calendar wasn't particularly spectacular, and with the rain, the park was nearly empty. Perfect for checking in at the site of the giant Chinese textbook passage, "Watching the Tide." The Qiantang River in the misty rain had a hazy, dreamlike beauty. Although the rain was getting heavier, I strolled through the ancient town with an umbrella, experiencing the ultimate beauty of Jiangnan. Perhaps this is what attracted Emperor Qianlong to visit Jiangnan six times.

I checked the tide forecast, and it arrived precisely on time, as accurate as a high-speed train! But whether the tide was strong or thrilling today depended entirely on the tide's mood. We were there on August 18th, and it was a high tide, and we felt just as turbulent as the tide itself.

Yanguan Tide Watching Park is truly a paradise on earth. As the best place to watch the tide in Haining, when the tide rushes in, it forms a magnificent landscape of "a line of tide", and the majestic momentum is exciting. The park not only has shocking natural wonders, but also rich historical and cultural relics, such as the Fish Scale Stone Pond and the Zhan'ao Tower, which witness the vicissitudes of time. The supporting facilities are also very complete. The Baishitai Square can be used for leisure and entertainment, and the Tide Watching Building and the Tide Watching Platform provide tourists with an excellent perspective for watching the tide. Walking through it, you can feel the power of nature and appreciate the thickness of history and culture. It is indeed a rare tourist destination.

The tide-watching point in this park can only see a first-line tide. January is not the best season for tide-watching, and the tide is relatively small. After watching the tide, I found that the small bag I carried with me was missing on the way back, so I returned to the park to look for it. The staff was very good and enthusiastic and helped me check the video. It turned out that it was my own mistake. I clearly took it out of the park and left it in a nearby coffee shop. Tide-watching resort here is very worthwhile, driving for a long time, and finally found no vain. Gradually, the tide is approaching, accompanied by the rumbling sound of the tide, and the water wall is getting higher and higher, like thousands of troops marching in unison. Finally, we arrived in front of the tide. The white waves rolled and roared. This was not the most spectacular August 18th. With this momentum, the tide-watching festival must be even more spectacular. The tide peak came in just a moment. From September 7th to 20th (from the ninth day of the eighth lunar month to the twenty-second day of the eighth lunar month), the annual event in Haining Yanguan is not to be missed.

You have to choose a good time to go here, and you also have to rely on luck. If you are unlucky, you may be like me, and you didn't see the spectacular sight. The tide here is mainly a line tide, rushing over like a line. There are tide signals for the Qiantang River tide, and each tide-watching point has an approximate time. If you come early, you can choose a better location, or you can come here a little earlier to play for a while, and then go to see the tide when the time is almost right.
