The appearance of chofukuji Temple fits in the old town of Mameda Cho

    Original Text

Hita in Oita Prefecture, which was said to have been a tenryo during the Edo period. Mameda Town is a town with a nice old townscape. In Mameda Town, there is a main street of 2 books that runs north-south, but there was Chofukuji Temple along Kamimachi-dori on the right side. The gate of Chofukuji Temple is built on Kamimachi-dori. There is a main hall in the back, and both the mountain gate and the main hall are dignified, creating a nostalgic atmosphere in the past. The atmosphere created by this temple was nice because it fits in the old town of Mameda Town.

The oldest Shinshu temple in Kyushu built in toda Cho

    Original Text

Mameda Town in Hita City, which is designated as an important preservation district for traditional buildings. This temple, Chofukuji, was built in a corner of the old townscape that has continued since the Edo period. There is a magnificent gate, and the main hall stands behind it. There was an explanation board next to the gate, and it was written about Chofukuji Temple. According to it, this main hall was built in the Edo period and is a valuable building that often conveys the style of Shinshu temples in the early Edo period.

There are several buildings from the Edo period.

    Original Text

It was founded in the latter half of the 16th century and the early 17th century. It is a temple with many buildings from the Edo period, and the main hall is a nationally designated cultural property. There was a fence that was a little open in front of the mountain gate, but I didn't know if I could enter, so I visited from the front of the mountain gate.
