Access is free. If you don't know the history, it might be a waste of your time. One thing I've experienced is that many museums close at lunchtime from about 11am to 1:30pm. So the plan should be adjusted accordingly. The exhibition helped visitors to appreciate the state of Vietnam and the tremendous contribution of Uncle Ton to fighting war and nation building, gradually building a democratic political system of the people in Vietnam.
