two kilometres to the north of the old town, a tiny village with just over 100 households, most of whom make their living by growing delicious organic vegetables and herbs using water and some special algae from Cổ Cò River.
Lovely village right outside Hoi An, famous for producing most of the organic produce that ends up in the menus of local restaurants. It is at a bike ride from the city, and it makes for a lovely afternoon trip. It is quiet and relaxing and totally gorgeous.
If you want to see the local farming community in action, the Tra Que Vegetable Village is the place to come. The farmers here do backbreaking work all day to grow delicious and fresh vegetables without the use of any pesticides - this is truly organic produce. You can get a tour of the gardens from one of the surrounding restaurants, before dining of the produce at the end of the tour - a true farm to table experience. The best times to visit is the early morning or the early evening as you'll miss the scorching heat of the day.
Walking in the countryside in the suburbs of Hoi An, the air is full of happiness and nature. Thanks to this farmland, the nearby villages also cooperated with the development of various farmhouse activities. "Tra Que Vegetable Village" can be searched through google map. In this area, there are many special events held. Visitors can learn to cook local Vietnamese banana flower salad, fried spring rolls, pastoral beef pancakes and other specialties by participating in characteristic classes in this farm. In addition, there are also farmers who follow farmers to work in the fields and learn how to use farming tools. After a busy morning, you can return to the village to enjoy a massage and enjoy the Vietnamese lunch carefully prepared for you. For the entire trip in one day, the amount is less than 200 yuan. Not only did I gain knowledge, but I also made many friends from foreign countries, which is definitely worth the fare.
