The Imperial City of Hue, also known as the Citadel, is a large complex located in Hue, Vietnam. Gorgeous Hue Imperial City and Citadel is a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site. Most of the buildings in the complex belong to the 19th century. You can take fantastic pictures there especially on a sunny day starting with the gate which is framed by flowery trees. Try to avoid large crowds of tourist coming on the weekdays closer to 4pm.

Hue is a gorgeous little city in Vietnam and the Hue Imperial City is a must see. It's a well preserved UNESCO heritage sight and its the most visited attraction in the area. Tickets are 200k VND and well worth it. You can explore the grounds and admire the amazing architecture around. The walls are great to walk from inside and out, and a lot of the structure remains the same as it has for centuries. It's quite pretty in places too with lots of colourful flowers and green grass. You're free to roam around or can take an additional guided tour if you wish. It's easy to get to from anywhere within the city really. #bucketlistreboot Hue Royal Palace or Citadel of Hue is imperial City and must visit if you are at Hue. It contains the palaces for the imperial family, as well as shrines, gardens, and villas. There are decrees written in Chinese too. The structure also looks like China forbidden city . Most of the buildings were destroyed and now major restoration in multiple places. wear and tear over times. Serenity and calming palace . There are not many Visitor hence not that crowded . A fee is required for the visit and it’s definitely worthy because there are also few activities show available in the palace. For me a day visit is fine, at night it may look a bit challenging for me.

Half day inside Imperial city. Not many activities on the day we visited but this is definitely a beautiful place for exploring heritage architecture, Vietnamese history and culture. One of the must visit historic site in Hue city. At here you can learn a lot of stuff. How is the life of the back then emperor of Vietnam. It’s just feel so amazing here and relax as well. Although of of the building was destroyed during war time, but they are trying hard to restore it. Will visit back in the future year to check it out.

The area is really big and well worth it for the price. As we are always quite interested in history, this was a great place and gave a bit of an insight about the ancient Vietnam. You should certainly plan half a day at least as the area is quite big. #wintergetaway #wintergetaway

What i like the most about this place is theis insta-worthy building and the palace is modelled after the Forbidden City in Beijing.
