Unlike normal caves formed by natural erosions, it was formed 300,000 years ago by the eruption of Mount Geomunoreum. Its total length is more than 7400 meters and its height can reach up to 25 meters in places. Since most of the cave is closed, you can only explore around 1 km from the entrance. Sharing my #jeju trip must visit #attraction - the Manjanggul #lava tube! It is really a must see and whoever that visits shall walk through the dark of 900+m to and fro (1.8km) to see the beauty of nature for this cave! Anyone who visits #jejuisland shall put this as one of their itinerary! Do note that the cave closes quite early and the the to-and-fro takes quite a while, so be sure to reach there latest by 3pm local time, if not they might reject your request for entrance ticket!

We went there during the summer where it was 27 degrees outdoor but yet the cave has a temperature of 8.7 degrees. It was really cold so be sure to bring a jacket there. Very interesting experience seeing how the lava flow managed to result in a cave underground. It’s pretty wet underground so be sure to a good non slippery pair of shoes.
