Guangxiao Temple

This temple has a history of more than 1,400 years and is one of the main attractions of Jianou tourism. It is located on the edge of Jianou city and is open to the public free of charge. The statues of the Four Heavenly Kings in the temple are worth noting, and the main hall is also well built.

It is very informative to come here. It is a Buddhist holy place with many pilgrims coming and going, and they are particularly pious. We came here mainly to see the design of the temples and Chinese classical architecture, and I found it very rewarding.

There is Kaiyuan in the south and Guangxiao in the north, which shows the status of Guangxiao Zen Temple in northern Fujian. The Zen temple retains a simple and elegant style. The classrooms and dining halls are spacious but not luxurious. They are a place for believers to rest. The lecture hall in the temple can accommodate about a hundred people. It is common to see believers chatting in groups of three or two in the corridor. The temple has a library, and there is a nursing home outside the side gate, which gives us a glimpse of its adherence to the doctrine.
