Lenggu Temple

Leng Ancient Temple is backed by Xiaozha Mountain at an altitude of 5807 meters, facing Gelu Mountain at an altitude of 6224 meters, surrounded by mountains. The red gates of the high and low monk houses and temples are integrated with the snow-capped mountains, which is a world of extraordinary Buddha. Around 1,200 square kilometers, the legend is the holy place of the Guanshiyin Bodhisattva.

The Leng Ancient Temple is divided into the old and the new. The tourists who turn to the mountain can reach the old Leng Ancient Temple. The Hupi Dam at the foot of Geqi Mountain is located. The treasures of the town temple and the monks of the old Leng Ancient Temple have almost all been relocated here. The road from Xinlang Ancient Temple to Laolang Ancient Temple is very rugged and narrow, and the stones are uneven. It is completely horse road and difficult to walk.

Leng Ancient Temple is the birthplace of the Huangism of Tibetan Buddhism and belongs to the Glu sect. Lao Leng Ancient Temple is located in the valley of Gelu Mountain and adjacent mountains, and Xin Leng Ancient Temple is located at the foot of Gelu Shenshan Mountain. After passing the Geyu Shenshan and driving about 10 kilometers, we came to Lenggu Temple, bought 30 yuan tickets, visited the town temple three treasures: the female antlers, the inverted conch taken from the stone, and the white stone (there are naturally formed blood vessel pattern above) that is known as the "Greek Heart". There's also a Gesar helmet that feels rather novel.

The three major magic treasures of Lenggu Temple: Gehe Heart Natural Rock, Reverse Conch Fossils, and Mother Antlers. Lenggu means Shenshan Gehe Shenshan, and when there is fog, it is like a fairyland.

Leng Ancient Temple is located at the foot of Geyu Shenshan Mountain, accompanied by snow peak canyon. We went up the river, shuttled and climbed in the forest, and finally reached our destination. Leng Ancient Temple is much smaller than many temples in Tibetan areas. There are some wooden houses where practitioners live outside the temple, surrounded by firewood for heating in winter. The temple hall is darker, there are no lights, there are not many oil lights, and there are portraits of Panchen hanging on the pillars.
