Kingston almost became the capital of the Canadian province at the time, but now there is not even a Starbucks mug dedicated to it, but given its historical status, it is still worth a special trip to visit by train.
Passing by Kingston on the way back to Toronto, the tour guide introduced us to the overview of the city. The photos show the men’s prison, women’s prison and the hanging tower. These are all traces of history.
Because it took some time to pick up the car in Toronto, it was just over five o'clock when I arrived at Kingston Prison, so I could only take a look outside.
The prison is next to Lake Ontario, with unobstructed views of the lake. We jokingly call it the most beautiful prison in the world. The area of the prison should be small, with a dedicated parking lot.
Visiting this prison can be said to be a simple experience of another kind of life. The scale of this place is still not small, and the various prison facilities inside are better than expected, and it is not too dark.
