What travelers say:

The Gate of the Sea is the official entrance to the ancient city of Kotor, built in the 16th century by the ancient Venetians. Two imitations of ancient cannons are placed at the door, symbolizing the arrival of the ancient city in the Middle Ages. When passing through the city gate, you can see the exquisite stone reliefs of the Virgin and Child surrounded by St. Trevor and St. Bernard. The stone carvings are intact, but there is no protection.
