experience the life of a Vietnamese soldier 🧑🏭#timetotravel We booked a guided half day tour with the local operator Tnktravel. Will definitely recommend booking a guided tour because you will be lost without explanations and travelling to Cu Chi Tunnel itself takes around 2 hours. Given the name Cu Chi Tunnel, the main attraction is most definitely the tunnel. There are tunnels of different lengths for tourists to attempt, from 5 metre to 100 metre. I am personally not that big, and not generally claustrophobic, so I managed to go through the tunnel with no issues. But so be warned, if you are bigger and have joint issues, you might have difficult going through the tunnel because you have to be a constant squatting position!! Thanks to our guide Patrick, as well as the interactive element of the Cu Chi Tunnel (walking through the tunnel, visiting the different bunkers and looking at the different traps Vietnamese soldiers used to set targeting the American soldiers), we learned so much about the history of the Vietnam war from the Vietnamese perspective and the intelligence and hard work of Vietnamese soldiers. #history #境外遊 #vietnam #hochiminh #timetotravelJOCELYNC37

We had the chance to go inside the tunnels as well, I made it to 40m inside before leaving, while some people continued to 100m. The tunnels area is vast and the sound of gun fire can be heard throughout. To shoot in the gun range, 600.000k Dong will be necessary for 10 bullets. These connecting tunnels were used by the Viatnamese during the Vietnam War and served as hiding spots during combat. You would learn so much when you include this on your itinerary. ✅ Note: You can go down the tunnels yourself however, for those who are claustrophobic, you may want to skip this activity as most paths are really narrow. An Immense Labyrinth of TunnelsIf there's one thing they say you should see while staying in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, it's the Cu Chi Tunnels. Even if you're not that much of a history buff (ahem...hi) the Cu Chi Tunnels still make for an intersting visit and a much needed glimpse into the history of the city. The tunnels are located around 60 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, were built from around 1948 during a war against France and were an important communication tool during the Vietnam War. During our visit, we were able to crawl through the tunnels, as well as see how and where this entire complex housed everything from hospitals and schools to kitchens! Cu Chi Tunnel Adventurerecently went on a tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. Tunnel in Ho Chi Minh#hochiminhcity We had a great tourist guide so that was definitely a part of my high rating, but overall the whole site was interesting with lots of things to do from crawling in the tunnel to shooting a gun. Would definitely recommend for a one day trip from Ho Chi Minh. The tunnels were good and for that matter very realistic so if you've breathing problems and or you're claustrophobic.. you can try 15 m long tunnel .. that's quick. But for the longer one, think before you act. But all and all it's a fun place and you'll get to taste their food and tea.she travels

Eye-opening experience at Cu Chi TunnelGet to experience the small hideout that was used during the Vietnam War. It was very tiny and needed some techniques to climb in and out. Get to understand how their underground tunnels work and get to experience a short walk through the narrow and low tunnel. There are also some exhibitions on things that were used during the war, such as the special design shoes that will leave different direction footprints to confuse the enemy. it was an amazing trip. it was informative also. my friend and I learned a lot about the history of Vietnam. really recommend to those who want to visit Vietnam. refreshment also included..
Cu Chi Tunnels are located around ~ 1.5 h from the center of HCM. We did the tour on the same day with the Mekong River Delta and was a very nice combination. Try the shooting and go inside the tunnel, an amazing experience.
Very informative and historic place to visit, your guides were super friendly and knowledgeable.
Best excursion from Ho Chi Minh, recommend taking tours over trying to go there by yourself. The area can be covered under an hour and guides really explain each area clearly. Tunnels aren't suitable for the elderly or the plus size. Shooting Range costs are per clip and an AK 47 for instance is 600k minimum but one clip can be shared amongst two people. Must visit!
