Gospel Church

There are several churches on Gulangyu Island. This gospel church should be the largest on the island. It was next to Sunlight Rock. When I came, I happened to encounter the epidemic. The church was not open, but I could still feel the atmosphere of the year.

The English style of the Gospel Church, the four pillars of the main entrance are square and simple, the line of the exhibition and the mountain flower relief on the mountain wall, have a Western European charm. The glass window is the open Bible for the blinds. In 1901, Gulangyu Gospel Church was jointly promoted by Xiamen Taishan and Guan'ai, and the construction funds were raised by Chinese believers.

This church under Sunlight Rock is not big, but it is still a long time ago. It was founded in 1901 by Xiamen Taishan and Guan'ai two churches, and purchased land in Gulangyu Huangyan Mountain. It was built by Chinese believers from their own fundraising. It was completed in 1903 and accommodated more than 1,000 people.
