based on 227 reviewsAdashino Nenbutsuji Temple is a temple located deep in Sagano. In the quiet, serene air, stone Buddhas and pagodas of various sizes are arranged in rows. The 8,000 weathered, evocative stone Buddhas and pagodas standing there are the highlight of this place. This site was originally a place for wind burials. To console the spirits, Master Kūkai buried them here, marking the origin of the temple. Perhaps for this reason, a mysterious atmosphere permeates the temple.

The journey was tiring and I was not very interested at the time. My friends unanimously recommended this place. I didn't expect that after coming here, my whole body and mind would be refreshed.
