What travelers say:

This is a museum that introduces the historical development and achievements of the ancient city of Port Sete. The area of the museum is not very large, it contains many cultural relics and documents since the establishment of Port of Sete. It is the best place to learn about this medieval French port and it is worth visiting.

A collection of wonderful boat models with very little by way of explanation

I enjoyed looking at the models of fishing boats etc but there was very little else to capture one's attention. Perhaps they are in the process of upgrading the place.

    Nice little local museum

Good views from this local museum with the history of Sete and the 'jouts'. it's also a nice quiet air conditioned space on a hot day.

    Sete Maritime History

Small museum we visited on a rainy day. History of the port of Sete and it rise & decline over the centuries. Free entry. Wonderful explanation of “Water Jousting Competition” held each year in August...

    Sweet little museum

Visited Sete today and thought we would pop in the museum on the way back to our holiday home. 2 adults and two children (9 and 4) €3.50 each - children are free. Overall a lovely little museum to us...

    Really interesting

A good museum covering the history of Sete, the port and the water jousting. Audio commentaries were provided in english which was very helpful. There were good views too.
