I lived opposite the American School of Fashion Design Business for a year and never went there. Partly because they didn’t open the Academy of Fashion Design Museum until the year I moved. If you haven’t been there, go and see it! The exhibits are very close and private so you can see all the details. I can't wait to come back for their Oscar-nominated costume show! They have a museum shop, and you can come here if you need a gift and don’t know what to give. They also have a great clothing, shoe and jewelry store where you can buy it for the first thing they value. # American School of Fashion Design Business ## Exhibition# # Let Me Stay Back #

A great place for those who love fashion and movies! They take turns collecting costumes from movies and showing students’ works. They also have a collection of antiques. You can turn around a little to start wearing and looking at the room. The gift shop also sells students and other trinkets. It could take an hour to see everything. Not much parking as it is located in the city center.
my school museum and galleries is the most amazing place in downtown ever
Visited this place with wife and 11 year old daughter. No real interest in fashion but nice to stay nearby for a while. Very pleasant surprise. Show us real costumes from the current popular TV show. It was Emmy week and they also had free popcorn, chocolate and lemonade. Free admission, no crowds, show in 30 minutes. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The venue has a nice gift shop with unusual items, sample shops and leisure gardens.
I love FIDM and as an Alumni I just wanted to throw my take away on here. Yes it was expensive! It was so worth it though!! I never saw myself as being capable of being a good student. FIDM gave me the tools and suport I needed to thrive as a student and I am forever grateful for my experience at FIDM.
